LAW OF NINES
Goodkind moves away from epic fantasy into more King/Koontz territory of mystery and suspense in small-town America. This features a fast-action plot, high body count, two strong central characters with a dash of romance, and should carry him to a wider general audience, although there are buried connections with his previous books to satisfy his dedicated fans.
