Queer Women in Urban China

Based in ethnographies of the everyday and intimate lives of a diverse population of same-sex desiring women in Beijing, this book explores how ideas and practices regarding gender, sexuality, family and nation are constructed, and investigates new meanings of identity and modes of belonging in urban mainland China.
