Kaur Riismaa

Kaur Riismaa is an Estonian writer whose work focuses on the intertwining of physical and psychological time in memories. His works have been inspired by authors such as Boris Pasternak, Thomas Mann, James Joyce, T.S. Eliot, and Haruki Murakami. Riismaa has published several poetry collections and novels, including "Enne pattu ja roboteid" (2024). He is a member of the Estonian Writers' Union.

In 2024, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Cultural Endowment, an essay competition titled "The Next 100 Years of Estonian Culture" was organized. The winning essay, "How We Killed the Sacred", was written by Kaur Riismaa under the pseudonym Nora Maria London.
