
Eia Uus is an Estonian writer whose works include novels and travel books. Her debut novel, "Kuu külm kuma" ("The Cold Glow of the Moon") received the Eduard Vilde Literary Award. Other notable works, such as "Tüdrukune" ("Girl-like"), "Minu Prantsusmaa" ("My France"), and "Kirjad Buenos Airesest" ("Letters from Buenos Aires"), have also gained widespread attention.
In addition to fiction, Eia Uus has written children's books, including "Seitsme maa ja mere taha" ("Beyond Seven Lands and Seas") and "Anna ja kadunud hõbekala" ("Anna and the Lost Silver Fish"). She has also authored "Võitleja hing" ("The Fighter’s Soul")—a book capturing Anett Kontaveit's journey, told as authentically and directly as the athlete herself perceives it.
Beyond her writing career, Eia Uus leads the Rahva Raamat Book Club, where book lovers gather each month to read and discuss a selected book. The book club fosters engaging and thought-provoking discussions, bringing people together through shared reading experiences.
Additionally, she hosts the Rahva Raamat podcast "Raamaturännak" ("Book Journey"), which takes listeners on an exciting literary exploration. The podcast features a longer monthly episode with a guest and a shorter segment, where Eia recommends books and discusses current literary topics, including new releases, literary awards, and author stories.
