Rules of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat

1. LOYALTY PROGRAMME

This document contains the general terms and conditions applicable to members of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat AS.

Rahva Raamat AS (registry code 10421903), with its registered office at Telliskivi 60/2, 10412 Tallinn, is the legal entity responsible for the loyalty programme and the controller of customer data.

2. Objective of the loyalty programme

The objective of the loyalty programme is to provide added value to customers and Rahva Raamat AS in their customer relationship.

When joining the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat, customers will be granted advantages, i.e. discounts and special offers in the stores, online shop and app of Rahva Raamat.

Special offers and discounts are only valid for registered members based on an ID card or by logging in to the customer’s account in the online shop of Rahva Raamat.

Membership remains in force until it is terminated in accordance with sections 9 or 10.

3. Becoming a member

Private persons aged 16 or over can join the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat. The loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat is not intended for the purchase of goods for resale or for sale from business to business. 4. Membership

4.1. Consent for processing personal data

By agreeing to these rules, you enter into a contract with Rahva Raamat AS in order to join the loyalty programme.

In order to perform the contract, Rahva Raamat AS may store and use your personal data and information about your membership and points collected in the loyalty programme. Personal data and information about your membership and points collected may be transferred to subcontractors and partners of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat. These rules only apply to data collected, stored and processed within the framework of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat AS. In addition to granting discounts under the loyalty programme, Rahva Raamat stores transaction data for other purposes, such as issuing invoices and accounting.

4.2. Means of authentication

Rahva Raamat will only process transaction data related to purchases registered on a loyalty programme account on the basis of this document. Possible means of authentication include the following:

- ID card of the Republic of Estonia or any other identity document with a photo and personal identification number

- e-mail address registered and validated by the customer in order to log in to the customer’s account in the online shop and the app

4.3. Cookies

The online shop of Rahva Raamat AS uses cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience; for example, you will be recognised when you return to the website and relevant content will be displayed to you.

Customers can opt out of the use of cookies at any time by changing the browser settings on their device or deleting the stored cookies.

5. Advantages of the loyalty programme

The advantages and discounts of the loyalty programme include the following:

- birthday discount

- special campaigns

- electronic vouchers (loyalty programme gift cards)

5.1. Points

Members of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat earn points with every purchase. In order to collect points, members must register all purchases using their ID card or by logging in to the online shop or app of Rahva Raamat. By spending one euro, customers earn one point. It is possible to earn points based on a special conversion rate with special offers. In this case, the conversion rate is specified in the terms of the offer. For every 50 points customers receive a gift voucher worth five euros from Rahva Raamat. Points for purchases made in stores will be added to your account on the next working day. Points for purchases made in the online shop will be added to your account once the goods have been assembled and sent. When returning purchases made in the online shop, points will be deducted in accordance with the purchases returned. You can keep track of the balance of your points by logging in to the online shop of Rahva Raamat or by asking a sales assistant at the store. You can also see the balance of points on purchase receipts.

No points can be collected with Rahva Raamat’s audio or e-book subscriptions or purchases made at the Literaat restaurant or Literaat Cafés. In addition, no points can be collected by purchasing Rahva Raamat gift cards.

5.2. Birthday discount

All customers who have joined the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat will receive a 10% discount three days before and three days after their birthday (excluding campaign products, e-books, technology, delivery fees and gift cards). The birthday discount will be automatically applied at the checkout. A discount code that can be used to get a birthday discount in the online shop will be sent to the customer’s registered email address. In order to receive a birthday discount code that is valid in the online shop, customers must agree to receive newsletters. Consent can be given at the checkout in stores or when registering a user account in the online shop by clicking on the ‘I want to receive newsletters’ button. 5.3. Special campaign

A special campaign is a limited offer for customers of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat. This could be a discount, a gift, an additional product or another offer.

5.4. Electronic voucher/gift card

An electronic voucher is an electronic gift card that gives loyalty programme members the right to a discount of a specified value in the stores, online shop and app of Rahva Raamat. Electronic vouchers can be used once. All vouchers have an expiry date. Electronic vouchers are sent to the customer’s e-mail address and will be valid until the date specified on them (inclusive). Electronic vouchers can be used to pay for purchases worth at least 25 euros. In the case of a corresponding purchase amount, it is possible to use several vouchers with one purchase.

5.5. Complaints

In order to resolve a complaint, Rahva Raamat AS may ask customers to provide proof of purchase if the relevant data cannot be found in any other manner.

5.6. Force majeure

Should exceptional circumstances occur in connection with the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat AS, which are beyond the control of Rahva Raamat AS and which make it very difficult or impossible for Rahva Raamat AS to fulfil its obligations towards its customers arising from this contract, the obligations of Rahva Raamat AS are suspended for as long as such circumstances last. Once the force majeure circumstances have been resolved, Rahva Raamat AS will make all reasonable efforts to restore or ensure all rights that would have been guaranteed had the circumstances not occurred.

6. Communication

Four forms of communication are used in the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat:

- The opening of an account in the online shop and the app is confirmed with an email and/or SMS. Reminders are sent, where necessary.

- General communication concerning the terms and conditions of the loyalty programme or compliance with them.

- Campaign notifications (if the customer has consented to newsletters).

- Notifications regarding the electronic gift voucher, including expiry notifications.

- Personalised notifications and additional offers based on purchasing behaviour (if the customer has consented to newsletters).

- Notifications sent in the case of events or emergencies (if the customer has consented to newsletters)

From time to time, Rahva Raamat may send notices via external social media channels, such as Facebook and Instagram. The use of these services is not governed by the rules of the loyalty programme of Rahva Raamat; instead, the terms and conditions of the respective social media channel apply.

Based on customers’ preferences and location, Rahva Raamat uses e-mails, SMS, the app or their phone number to communicate with registered customers.

Customers of Rahva Raamat have the right to refuse to receive newsletters, with the exception of gift vouchers, discount codes and official announcements sent in connection with the loyalty programme.

7. Personal data processing

The principles of the collection, storage and processing of personal data are described in the Privacy Policy of Rahva Raamat AS, which can be found at https://rahvaraamat.ee/t/privacy/en

7.1. Collection of data upon registration as a member

When registering as a member of the loyalty programme, the following customer data are mandatory:

- First name

- Surname

- E-mail address

- Personal identification code

- Acceptance of the Privacy Policy

8. Amendment of terms and conditions

Rahva Raamat may change these rules at its sole discretion with 30 days’ notice. The relevant notification will be sent to the customer’s e-mail address and/or published on the website of Rahva Raamat. Updated terms and conditions are always available on the website of Rahva Raamat. If they do not accept the new terms and conditions, customers must notify Rahva Raamat thereof within 30 days. In this case, the customer’s membership in the loyalty programme will end on the day the new terms and conditions become valid.

9. Termination

If a customer fails to comply with these rules or otherwise intentionally tries to misuse another person’s loyalty account, Rahva Raamat has the right to immediately close the customer’s loyalty account. Rahva Raamat reserves the right to terminate a customer’s membership in the loyalty programme if the customer deceives Rahva Raamat AS or its employees or acts in a threatening or unlawful manner towards them.

Rahva Raamat reserves the right to terminate its loyalty programme with 30 days’ notice. In the event of such termination, all rights and discount vouchers, etc. will remain valid until their expiry date, but for no longer than 90 days.

10. Withdrawal

Customers have the right to withdraw from the loyalty programme at any time. To do this, send an e-mail at epood@rahvaraamat.ee or call 640 6441. In the case of a withdrawal, all the advantages, discounts and vouchers are no longer valid. Customers will no longer be able to log in to their account on the Rahva Raamat website and all of the benefits on the account will expire. Rahva Raamat will cease all communication with the customer with respect to the loyalty programme (other than a notice about closing the account or other communication permitted by law).

11. Resolution of disputes

Any and all disputes are settled by way of negotiations. If the parties cannot reach an agreement in the course of negotiations, the dispute will be settled in the Harju County Court.
