TALLINNA ARHITEKTUURIBIENNAAL 2019 "ILU LOEB"

Tallinna Arhitektuuribiennaal TAB 2019 kataloog “Ilu loeb” kirjeldab biennaali programmi ning võtab kokku peaprogrammi näituste osalejad ning nende projektid.

Kataloogi sisu on kantud interdistsiplinaarsest huvist ilu ja selle suhte vastu arhitektuuriga. Raamatu kaante vahelt leiab artikleid erinevaid valdkondi esindavate autorite poolt nagu neuroteadus, matemaatika, filosoofia ja arhitektuur. Käsitletakse tärkavaid uusi iluvorme, esteetika olulisust arhitektuuris ja selle vastu tõusvat huvi peale 80 aastat agressiivset surutist.

Samaaegselt TAB 2019 avanädala ja selle kataloogi ilmumisega avaldas kirjastus Wiley Ühendkuningriigis ajakirja Architectural Design (AD) erinumbri, mille TAB peakuraator Yael Reisner külalistoimetajana kokku pani. Erinumbri pealkiri on „Beauty Matters: Human judgement and the pursuit of new beauties in post digital architecture“ („Ilu loeb. Inimese otsustusvõime ja uute iluvormide püüdlemine postdigitaalses arhitektuuris“).

Tallinn Architecture Biennale TAB 2019 catalogue “Beauty Matters” brings together the review of the biennale’s main programme, introduces the participants and their participating projects. The catalogue is curated by TAB 2019 Head Curator Yael Reisner and edited by Rebecca Collings.

With an interdisciplinary interest in beauty and its symbiotic relationship with architecture, TAB catalogue has different contributors from the disciplines of neuroscience, mathematics, philosophy and architecture, but all share the belief that beauty matters. The content reports on the fresh buds of new beauties and on the relevance of aesthetics in architecture.
