Scientific National History

This book examines the correlation between history, national ideology and the politics of the nation-state in the 19th century. It focuses on the formation of a 'scientific historical discipline' in Greece which aimed at strengthening a specific version of national history by relating it to the concepts of 'objectivity' and 'truth'.
