The book studies Friday and Foe in tandem with Robinson Crusoe to explore how these re-visions, through deconstructive freeplay, transform the logocentric repressive structure represented by Defoe's text into open-ended dialogic discourses, thus partly constituting a chain of differance in signifying the myth of Robinson Crusoe.
