Noblessner. Allveelaevatehase metamorfoosid 1912-1940

Raamatu „Noblessner. Allveelaevatehase metamorfoosid 1912–1940“ tõukeks on mõne aasta eest Eesti Meremuuseumi kogusse jõudnud ainulaadne fotoalbum, mis jäädvustab Noblessneri laevatehast vahemikus 1913–1916. Fotodelt leiab hulgaliselt vaateid tehasehoonete rajamisele, allveelaevade ehitamisele, õnnistamisele ning pidulikule vettelaskmisele. Käesolev raamat käsitleb tehase algusaega, Eesti tööstusarhitektuuri 20. sajandi esimesel poolel ning sel ajal tehases tegutsenud nimekamaid ettevõtteid. Lisaks annab raamat ülevaate Noblessneris ehitatud allveelaevade saatusest, aga ka Tallinna Laevaühisuse poolt tellitud mootorpurjelaevadest Läänemaa, Virumaa ja Harjumaa. Raamatu lõpulehekülgedel avanevad tänapäevased vaated Noblessnerile.

The catalyst for Noblessner. Metamorphoses of a Submarine Shipyard 1912–1940 is a unique photo album that reached the Estonian Maritime Museum a few years ago, capturing the Noblessner Shipyard in 1913–1916. The photos depict various views of the construction of the shipyard buildings, and the construction, blessings and ceremonious launchings of submarines. This book focuses on the beginnings of the shipyard, the Estonian industrial architecture in the first half of the 20^th century, as well as some of the better-known businesses operating in the shipyard at the time. In addition to that, the book gives an overview of the fate of the submarines built at Noblessner, and of the motorsailers Läänemaa, Virumaa and Harjumaa, ordered by the Tallinn Shipping Society. The book concludes with contemporary views of Noblessner.
