Lion and the Eagle

This is the first volume of a Trilogy describing the naval rivalry between Britain and Germany that culminated in them becoming antagonists in the First World War. It relates how two previous allies became increasingly estranged as a consequence of Germany's attempt to challenge British maritime supremacy, and sets the scene for the conflict.
